albanian economy benefits from increased turkish and italian investments
News Posted On: 14 October 2009
Italian and Turkish investments in Albania are continuing to increase the government has stated. Investment from Italian companies has increased by 500% in the last 2 years according to the report.
Italian companies are investing in Albania's natural resources, and in the energy sector, mainly alternative energy.
Turkish companies are investing in ferro-chrome production, minerals, real estate, road building, construction, and oil.
Albania offers a unique opportunity to invest with a 10% flat tax rate with government assistance in securing good deals on land leases.
Albania has large mineral reserves and energy potential, both of which are highly sought after in today's world, and have helped Albania achieve the largest economic growth in Europe in the 2008 - 2009 fiscal year.
The International Monetary fund has recently revised its growth forecast for Albania, up from 0.5% to 0.7% for this year. The IMF forecasts Albanian growth to rebound to 2.2% next year.
It is Albania's incredible economic potential, combined with the low property prices that make the country so popular with buyers of overseas property.
Albanian developers, and developers of property in Albania from around the world have boxed clever; they have built luxury units that appeal to the international buyer, but in such a way so that they are also appealing and affordable to the local population as they grow in wealth. For this reason, Albania property is a very sound long term investment product.
