Australia has been praised for offering a number of lifestyle attractions to foreign expatriates.
According to The Emigration Group, the country is proving to be very popular with skilled workers in particular.
This is because the government has reformed it immigration policies in order to encourage foreign nationals to exercise their skills in Australia.
Paul Arthur, director of The Emigration Group, said this strategy appears to be paying off, as the number of Britons who are moving to the country has reached its highest level in 80 years.
He commented: "You only have to look at the figures to see why.
"In Australia the weekly average earnings are higher while house prices, taxes and general living costs are lower."
Speaking to the Daily Star, Mr Arthur added that the number of people moving to Australia is likely to increase during the next decade.
Last month, Mr Arthur told the Chester Chronicle that people in Cheshire appear to be particularly keen to relocate to another country.
