A Visit to Austria
Austria offers a world-class range of luxury hotels. Characteristic of the range
on offer are the Wiesenhof, on Lake Achensee, a spa retreat for water sports enthusiasts,
herbal remedy fans and spa goers, or the Hollmann Beletage, a small hotel in the
centre of Vienna offering a homely atmosphere. But Austria also has its ‘Kinderhotellen’
– Child hotels, family hotels offering free childcare and family centred activities.
Austria’s obviously a great place for skiing, with a wide range of terrains and
styles on offer including cross-country, gentle beginners’ slopes and some runs
for the more advanced. But it’s also a good place for cultural life, with current
exhibitions focussed on Klimt and Schubert, amongst others, as well as a five month
long dance festival.
Austria is famous as a beautiful country, its reputation summed up in the title
of its national anthem: ‘Land of Mountains, Land by the River.’ It’s small, rugged,
beautiful and a popular destination for visitors with a wide range of interests.
Below, we’ve assembled a list of the highlights Austria has to offer, so you can
