bahamas offer more than beaches

Owners of rental property in the Bahamas could attract tourists looking to take advantage of casinos on the islands as well as the numerous white beaches, it has been claimed.
Increasing numbers of leisure travellers are opting to visit the Caribbean nation to sit at the felt as well as on their sun loungers, reports the Pittsburgh Post Gazette.
More than 12 islands offer casino gaming, including Paradise Island, which recently hosted the European Poker Tour Caribbean Adventure at the Atlantis Casino.
George Markantonis, president and managing director of the venue, commented: "Gaming has evolved here as the property has evolved and expanded."
Other destinations to feature casinos include Cable Beach on Providence Island and Grand Bahama Island.
Overseas property investors could benefit from the boom in gaming in the Bahamas as the profile of the islands increase and greater numbers of wealthy tourists travel to the Caribbean to try their luck.
