barbados a good location for those buying property

Investors who are planning on buying property abroad might wish to consider purchasing a home in Barbados where the market has held up well.
According to the Global Property Guide, the country has weathered the financial crisis well because it attracts wealthy clientele.
Real estate firm Cluttons revealed that property prices in the country have increased between ten and 15 per cent each year, with luxury homes enjoying even greater levels of appreciation.
Tim Morgan, managing director of Cluttons Barbados, commented: "Barbados has in the past always performed well, as more established and international markets decline - and then Barbados again benefits, as these more international markets bounce back."
While property in the country is more expensive than on other Caribbean islands, investors might be attracted to the stability of the property market in Barbados.
This comes after Caribbean real estate specialist Prestigious Properties said the Caribbean is one of the most lucrative places to purchase a holiday home or investment property.
