The Central American Tourist Promotion Agency (CATA) has joined forces with Central America's Ministries of Tourism, Taca Airline and a number of private firms to promote holidays in the area.
Belize will feature in advertising campaigns in travel agencies across the UK and could benefit from the increased exposure in Britain.
CATA has arranged for 30 London cabs to display promotional material for holidays in Central America.
Minister Manuel Heredia recently attended the International Tourism Fair to promote the country's most attractive destinations and products.
Recent data revealed that the British market has seen the largest increases in the number of holidaymakers travelling to Central America.
This could be welcome news to those with buy-to-let property in the country, as there could be an increased demand for short-term rental opportunities.
Belize has recently become an area of interest for Mexico as it could be set to become a major oil-producing region, according to The Reporter.
