The nearby resort of Praia do forte (5km away), is very popular with tourists from lots of other countries. Property prices in Praia do Forte are already very expensive. There are many activities run from here including Whale watching, horse riding, quad biking and canoeing. Itacimirim is 45 minutes from Salvador International Airport along the coconut coast easily reached by the Linha Verde Route.
