brazilian tourist destination set for expansion
News Posted On: 24 December 2010
The city of Fortaleza is one of Brazil's most popular holiday spots and is currently expanding fast. There is already a new convention centre and a metro line, as well as other amenities aimed at tourists and there are many other resorts planned for the area.
This is the place where wealthy Brazilians come to holiday and it is easy to see what the attractions are as there are 12 miles of white sandy beaches and the climate hovers around 80° for much of the year.
It may seem as if nothing much happens around here as the locals seem to enjoy a laid-back lifestyle, but the economy here is actually very strong. Part of the reason is due to investment into the infrastructure leading up to the 2014 FIFA World Cup, and the brand-new metro line will extend into both residential and commercial areas.
At the moment investing here is incredibly cheap as you can buy an apartment with as little as £1000 deposit. This situation cannot last as Brazilian developers have been buying up land around here for the last three years, and many major developments have now received approval.
There hasn't been any approval for new building projects in this area for the last two and a half years so demand will be strong. This makes it the perfect time to invest in this area before the development really starts to take off.
As the Brazilian economy goes from strength to strength the locals will enjoy increased wealth, and it won't be just the rich who want to come to this area to holiday. A rental apartment here should generate good income, especially in 2014.
