Bulgaria has a reciprocal Health Agreement in place with UK. The UK visitors only have to produce a UK passport and an NHS medical card to avail free hospital, medical, and dental care. Prescribed Medicines are available at reasonable prices at public pharmacies.
The country offers widespread basic medical care. However, there is a dearth of specialists in Bulgaria
The authorities in Bulgaria strongly advise full travel insurance for all travellers to the country.

Passport
Passports are valid for at least three months beyond the length of the stay required by all nationals of the abovementioned countries except the EU nationals holding a valid national ID card. Such EU nationals are only required to produce evidence of their EU nationality and identity in order to be admitted to any EU Member State, including Bulgaria. Identity can be proved either by a valid a national passport or any valid national identity card. The validity of any of the identity documents should be at least 3 months on the day the travellers leave Bulgaria.
Visa
Visas are not required for the nationals of the above mentioned countries for stay up to 90 days.
Note 1: For EU nationals, visas are not required at all.
Note 2: For Australian, Canadian, and US citizens, visas are not required up to 3 months of touristic stay in the country.
