The Canadian property market is expected to bounce back in line with the US, which is expected to be within the next few months.
The US was the first domino in the international crash, US property prices have fallen hard and fast, many think that after three years the bottom of the US housing market must be near.
Canada was a few months behind it, but this gave the Canadian government a little bit of foresight to put things in place to ride out the storm.
Many analysts are now suggesting that some parts of Canada, including Scotia are past the worst. Now is the time to buy in Canada, suggests Les Calvert, director of overseas property portal Property Abroad.com.
"Canada is an extremely popular choice with emigrating Brits. Canada property prices obviously haven't fallen as far as the US, but if you look closely enough there are some real bargains around. I don't think that those considering emigration can afford to miss the bottom, and I would advise them to at least start their search for Canadian property now," he said.
Property Abroad is currently advertising dozens of properties for sale in Canada. From 1 Acre land plots on an award winning resort in the Laurentian Mountains from £33,429, to a 3 bedroom house on the Silver Tip resort for £1.8million.
