China enjoys a diverse weather due to its sheer size. Where the northeastern regions of the country are hot and dry in summers and extremely cold in winters, the north and central parts are lashed with rains almost throughout the year, with hot summers and cold winters.
The southeast China experiences good rainfall, but with semi-tropical summers and cool winters. Floods are common in central, southern, and western China. Earthquakes are also quite frequent in some parts of China.
The northern regions of China experience harsh winters and the visitors are advised to wear heavy clothes with boots. Summers can be enjoyed with lightweight clothes. South China is relatively moderate and medium-weight clothes are advisable during winters and lightweights during summers.
