property abroad in croatia will get cheaper
News Posted On: 24 April 2009
Croatia could be a good spot to buy property for a reasonable price because the value of homes is likely to drop over the next year, according to a recent report.
A study conducted by real estate pollsters CentarNekretnina.net concluded that the cost of property in Croatia is likely to decline by between ten and 15 per cent in the next 12 months.
The agencies polled believed that flats were likely to experience the largest fall in value, with prices likely to fall by an average of 13 per cent, reports the Croatian Times.
Some felt that investors could reduce the price of houses on the market by one-fifth and still make a profit.
Most asserted that the reduction would take place on the continental part of the country and said that prices at the moment are too high.
Despite this, the majority thought the difference between the asking price of a Croatian house and the actual fee decided on was about 15 per cent.
This comes after online property portal Primelocation International found that searches for homes in Croatia increased by 30 per cent last year.
