Demand for Cyprus property will increase massively in 2010 it has been claimed. Overseas property portal Property Abroad has stated that the massive slide in Cyprus property transactions, especially those involving foreigners will have stopped by the end of this year, paving the way for the increase to begin apace as the spring springs. Director of the portal Les Calvert said
"Cyprus property sales began nose-diving in 2008, with the declining prices of Cyprus property accelerating massively with every passing month. However this has begun to change in 2009, with the rate of decline now slowing every month. Slowly but surely we are reaching the bottom.
With such bargains available investors are obviously keen to buy Cyprus property at just the right moment, so it will, not only not lose any value, but stands to gain it very quickly as demand grows to normal levels once again."
As property prices in Europe's most popular destinations grew immensely during the last boom, Cyprus became the affordable choice, and quickly became one of the most popular destinations in Europe for British property buyers as it got the emerging market seal of approval celebrity golf course development.
Earlier this year the title deeds scandal blew up, with fraudulent developers revealed to have been withholding the deeds and selling the same property to multiple people. That, however is now almost resolved, and will be completely resolved in time for next year's massive increase in demand.
