northern cyprus highlighted for property investment

Overseas property portal Property Abroad.com has highlighted the property market in Northern Cyprus as well worth a look for both overseas property investors, and lifestyle buyers.
Citing reasons including low property prices, emerging golf tourism, and improved relations with the couth of the island, director Les Calvert said:
"We fell in love with Northern Cyprus at the end of 2007, when, for us it was quite simply one of the hottest emerging markets around. I mean, you have all (or most) of the benefits that you find on the south of the island: emerging golf tourism, glorious sunshine and beaches, but northern Cyprus property is up to 60% cheaper on a like for like basis than its counterpart in the south."
Cyprus property became very popular with British expats from 2006 onwards. But sales plummeted last year. This was to be expected because of the UK and international recession, but Cyprus' suffering was worsened by the emergence of the scandal involving fraud in the system and buyers not getting their title deeds on off plan properties in the south.
Now that a solution has been offered to the crisis over title deeds, Northern Cyprus is all set to regain its popularity with overseas property buyers throughout the northern hemisphere's winter months (when we all look for a sunny destination).
