Overseas property investors might be able to purchase bargain homes in the Czech Republic, it has been claimed.
Experts at British commercial property fund First Property Group PLC said there are opportunities in eastern Europe for cash-ready buyers.
Ben Habib, chief executive officer of the company, said the London-based firm is looking to use £200 million funded from cash and credit channels to take advantage of "fantastic" deals in the Czech Republic.
"All sellers on the market now are distressed and need to raise cash so this is a brilliant time to buy; you just name your price," he added.
Mr Habib said that when the economy recovered in the Czech Republic, it would be in much better shape than other nations in the region.
Buyers looking at property in Prague could benefit from new Wizz Air flights to the city from Luton Airport.
The increased ease of access to the region could mean that there is an increase in the number of leisure travellers looking for rental accommodation in the Czech capital.
