Investors who buy property in Egypt could be able to pick up bargain homes, it has been claimed.
According to Nicholas Marr, chief executive officer of Homesgofast, off-plan real estate in the country offers "exceptional value for money".
He said the emerging market status of the country was just one of the reasons UK buyers are being drawn to the north African country.
Mr Marr added that short flight times from the UK, capital appreciation, a warm climate and numerous tourist sites make it an attractive destination for property buyers.
"The Egypt property market is faring well, although sales from UK clients are slower than normal. Egypt is attracting a lot of interest," he said.
Investors who decide to sell their Egyptian real estate could also find there is significant interest from buyers in Italy, Russia, Poland, Germany and other European nations, Mr Marr commented.
The Global Property Guide reported in February that Cairo is one of the cheapest cities for purchasing property.
