Egypt For Property Investment In 2009 Portal Advises

News Posted On: 20 February 2009

Egypt is one of the best places to make a property investment in 2009, especially Hurghada, according to overseas property portal Property Abroad. Julie Liddle, an emerging markets researcher for the portal said:

"Tourism to Egypt has risen by more than 20% each year from 2001 - 2007, when the last government figures were released. Though the credit crunch is reported to have had a slight effect, Egyptian tourism officials expect a 20% increase again when 2008's figures are released. The government has continued its massive marketing campaigns, i.e. the Visit India 2009 currently active in India.

"Egypt is popular with Britons because it is a warm, easily accessible and cheap. It is popular with tourists from around the world because of its accessibility, attractions including Cairo and the Pyramids, and its excellent beaches. Increasing tourism has undoubtedly been boosted by the many Hollywood blockbusters featuring the country.

This massively growing tourism coupled with the low prices of property means investors can find great potential and excellent value for money within the country, as well as great mid-long term capital growth potential. This all combines to make Egypt well worth considering for property investment in 2009."

Property Abroad have some excellent properties in Egypt. Off plan apartments in Hurghada advertised on the portal start from a little over £14K. Lotus Breeze is a gated European style development situated in the Intercontinental area of Hurghada and only 50 metres away from the main promenade leading to the beach. The complex will consist of studios, one, two and three bedroom apartments complete with their own terraces with views of the communal gardens and swimming pool, sea or mountains.

For those with slightly more to spend; the Hurghada off plan development Egyptian Pearl is well worth a look at just under £21k. Egyptian Pearl comprises of 53 off plan apartments: 6 studios, 10 one-bedroom professional, 25 one-bedroom luxury, 6 two-bedroom and 6 three-bedroom apartments, in Hurghada's Red Sea coastal area.
