egypt offers investment potential

Overseas property buyers should consider purchasing a home in one of Egypt's coastal resorts, it has been suggested.
According to Steve Worboys, director of emerging property market specialists Experience International, the north-African nation has a strong tourist industry, reports SimpliGroupProperty.com.
He attributed this to the rich history of the country and a number of "unique attractions" such as the pyramids.
However, he noted that Egypt does not only offer good value holidays: "People are increasingly seeing its potential as a place of investment for both remuneration purposes and the fact that it is a year-round holiday destination."
The World Travel and Tourism Council reported that the expected growth for the travel and tourism economy in Egypt in 2008 is 5.5 per cent.
Abta - The Travel Association recently identified Egypt as one of the top travel hotspots for 2009.
The country's relative proximity to the UK and the fact that it is not part of the eurozone makes it an attractive destination for British holidaymakers.
