Overseas property investors might be able to make a profit by purchasing real estate in Estonia, it has been claimed.
According to Lily Simpson of Quintessentially Estates, the country offers a rich culture, great beaches and fantastic architecture.
She said the nation has a strong housing market in which those with property can get rental yields of seven to nine per cent.
"If you buy a property at the right time with the right interest rates, then you are going to be getting a good yield," Ms Simpson noted.
The property expert added that the Baltic nation would see the greatest number of investments during the second half of 2009.
She said that Estonia is being referred to by some investors as the "new Hong Kong".
While rental yields are high, the cost of purchasing a new home in Estonia has fallen by 16 per cent in the last 12 months, according to the Knight Frank Global House Index.
