The Estonian Air Navigation Service (EANS) reported a 16 per cent increase in the first nine months of 2008 compared with last year.
It served a total of 1354,927 flights, which is over 18,000 more than were run in 2007, reports Baltic Business News.
This growth is particularly impressive when compared to the average 2.7 per cent expansion seen throughout the rest of Europe.
The EANS has more than 700 different customers Europe and South-East Asia, handling flights connecting a number of major transport hubs.
Overseas property investors may welcome this news as it demonstrates how Estonia is becoming more accessible, both to business and leisure travellers.
In related news, record numbers of passengers bought tickets from Estonian Air on the Tallinn-Kuressaare route in the last month.
In October 2007, 1005 people flew that route using the airline but this grew by 33 per cent compared with the same time the previous year, taking the total up to 1481 passengers.
