cost conscious brits might rent property abroad in france

Holiday home hunters considering buying property in France's Rhone Alpes might be able to profit from the number of Britons looking to cut the cost of their holidays.
With the recession forcing many in the UK to reduce expenses during their vacations, owners of homes in desirable tourist areas could be set to make a profit.
Indeed, research by Tesco Travel Money revealed that one in three travellers are lowering their budgets for holidays.
It revealed that 33 per cent of holidaymakers travelling to France are opting to stay in self-catering rental accommodation because it is cheaper.
A spokesperson for Tesco Travel Money said: "It's great to see that holidaymakers are pulling out the stops to get value for money and making sacrifices to ensure they get their two weeks in the sun."
Those considering buying property in France were recently advised by French Property News to ensure that they establish which area suits them best and to utilise local agents in the country.
