Fans of French culture could be able to take in a number of sights and events in the country, such as the Marseille Festival, if they buy property in the country.
Marseille hosts a major cultural festival between June 17th and July 11th, at which there will be a variety of events and things to do.
Owners of holiday homes in Provence could be well-placed to capitalise on the influx of tourists to the area by renting out their property in France.
Alternatively, homeowners might prefer to use the property themselves during this period to take advantage of their proximity to a major festival.
On offer will be contemporary dance performances, theatre productions, classic movie screenings and exhibitions of artwork.
The festival was founded with the intention of bringing innovative and original performances and artistic creations to a wide audience.
Art lovers could also be flocking to Provence at the moment because the Musee Granet is holding an exhibition of the works of Pablo Picasso and Paul Cezanne.
