obama expresses love for provence

Investors considering buying property abroad might wish to heed US president Barack Obama, who recently asserted that he loves all things French.
The American head of state said in his first interview on French television that the country is one of "the most important in the world".
He said that the south of France and particularly the wine of Provence were particularly favourites of his.
When quizzed about what in particular he loves about the country, the president commented: "Well, let's see. We got the food. We've got Paris. We've got the south of France with Provence and the wine."
This could prompt greater interest in holiday homes in the region among leisure travellers inspired by the US president's opinions.
Those thinking of purchasing their own property in France were recently advised to consider looking inland by Karen Tait, editor of French Property News.
She revealed that buyers often find they get more for their money the further from the coast they are.
