property abroad buyers could do well in france
News Posted On: 19 June 2009
Purchasers of property abroad could be able to get a good return on their investment if they purchase homes in France, an expert has claimed.
According to Sarah Bogard of law firm Furley Page, there is currently a buyers' market in the country.
The expert recommended taking measures to protect against the weakness of sterling to the euro.
One example cited was looking for a property seller who is willing to conduct the transaction in pounds.
She added that there has been a decline in the cost of housing in France and that those who make wise acquisitions could benefit from their purchases.
"The right property and the right purchase structure could see you hold onto a property ripe for capital growth into your future - and that of your family," she commented.
This comes after Nick Leach, head of business development in the UK and Ireland for Pierre & Vacances, recently asserted that confidence is returning to investors in French property.
