property abroad in france still appeals to britons
News Posted On: 23 June 2009
Britons are still keen to buy property in France, despite the weakness of the pound, according to one expert.
Stuart Baldock, an estate agent for Property Vision, told the Daily Telegraph that the strength of the euro against sterling has deterred a number of buyers in recent months.
However, the publication claimed that this is not likely to be the case for much longer and that property abroad in France is still a desirable purchase for many Britons.
Rupert Scott, who owns a home across the Channel, said there were a number of benefits to having a house in France.
"At the end of the day, the tax is still cheaper and you get more house and land for your money," he said.
Those who prefer to travel around France in comfort rather than stay situated in one place might find that searching for mobile homes for sale in France provides them with more flexible accommodation.
This comes after Nick Leach, head of business development in the UK and Ireland for Pierre & Vacances, said confidence in French property is starting to return to investors.
