property abroad in france to be base for u2 tour
News Posted On: 10 June 2009
Irish rock stars U2 have decided that their property abroad on the Cote D'Azur will be a good base for their upcoming European tour.
The band and their families all have property in the region and will be staying there in between concerts, reports the Herald.
Flights out of Nice Airport in their private jets will transport the band to gigs across the continent in locations such as Barcelona, Milan, Amsterdam and Paris.
Guitarist The Edge said the reason he had purchased his property in France was "timing".
Larry Mullen, the band's drummer, said U2 was "a tight family" and noted that the group never seems to escape from each other as they holiday in the same place.
The Cote D'Azur could be ideal for property hunters who want to mingle with the rich and famous.
Every year, A-list celebrities from the entertainment world meet in Cannes for the film festival.
