Investors in property abroad might wish to acquire homes in German cities if they want to enjoy some of the best infrastructure in the world, a recent report claimed.
In the Mercer Quality of Living survey, the European nation had two nations in the top ten overall - Dusseldorf and Munich at sixth and seventh respectively.
However, the country performed particularly well in the infrastructure ratings, with three of the top five European cities situated in Germany.
As well as Munich and Dusseldorf, Frankfurt's infrastructure was found to be among the best in the world.
Slagin Parakatil, senior researcher at Mercer, commented: "German city infrastructure is amongst the best in the world, in part due to its first class airport facilities and connections to other international destinations."
The German government recently spent €2.1 million (£1.88 million) on increasing the business performance of the railways sector in the country, reports VOV News.
