Recent figures show a 2.8 per cent year-on year increase in tourist arrivals in Hungary during 2007. The total number of leisure travellers to the eastern European country reached 39.4 million, according to the Hungary Tourism Report 2008. Slovakia was found to be one of the largest market sources for the industry, with the number of passenger flying into Hungary from Slovakia up by six per cent. This could be good news for buyers looking to purchase rental property in Hungary as the growth of tourism could provide a steady demand for accommodation. The report also found that Budapest Ferihegy International Airport experienced its busiest month in August 2007.Budapest's transport hub experienced a year-on-year growth of four per cent in the number of passengers travelling its doors.In related news, Hungary is becoming a top destination for people looking get cheap dental care, as well as a holiday, reports easier.com.
