etihad alitalia deal to have big impact on italian property markets
News Posted On: 21 December 2009
Middle Eastern airline Etihad has signed an agreement with Italian carrier Alitalia, which will see Etihad customers able to fly direct into Naples and Rome, whilst Alitalia customers will gain the ability to fly direct to Abu Dhabi.
This will undoubtedly have an impact on the property markets in both places.
Abu Dhabi, is the economic giant of the United Arab Emirates, and because of the Dubai World debts debacle, more people now know this fact than ever before. Because of this, and the fact the both the economy and property markets in Abu Dhabi are currently among the most promising in the world, Abu Dhabi is currently receiving increasing interest from property buyers from around the world -- those who would normally have gone for Dubai.
However, by far the biggest effect will be on the Italian property market. In the current climate, Middle Eastern buyers are prevalent in many markets, in fact in some places they filled a large part of the void left by the exodus of British buyers.
No one is going to buy a property that is not easily accessible to them by air, in fact; the more accessible the property and the area, the more appealing they become. Therefore, this will make many more property buyers from Abu Dhabi put Italian property on their shortlist.
