Rental investors could benefit from increasing demand for tourist accommodation in Latvia.According to official government data, the eastern European country is currently seeing growth in its holiday industry, reports the Baltic Course.Figures from the Central Statistical Bureau showed that during the first half of 2008, visitor numbers were 8.7 per cent up on the same period of the previous year.This means that demand for temporary lodgings in Latvia is on the rise, thereby creating new investment opportunities across the country.Many of the visitors were found to have come from neighbouring nations such as Estonia and Lithuania.However, Latvia was also said to be a popular destination for people from other European countries, such as Germany, Finland and Sweden.This comes after Latvian airline airBaltic announced that would begin offering services between Riga and Hannover from December 2008.The new route will operate five times a week.News brought to you by Property Abroad - specialists in Overseas Property Investment Overseas Property - serving the overseas property market since 1992
