malaysia property bargains recommended for investment
News Posted On: 06 July 2009
Malaysia property has been recommended for investment, with the capital Kuala Lumpur and the coastal region of Sabah, Borneo currently offering "some pretty spectacular opportunities", it has been stated.
Whilst Kuala Lumpur property grew in value massively in the last few years, if you know where to look bargains can still be found with plenty of growth potential, according to overseas property portal Property Abroad.
"Kuala Lumpur is rapidly growing into a vibrant metropolis, one of the most vibrant in the world. Property prices in Kuala Lumpur grew rapidly in the last few years, and last year properties for sale on the international market were coming under the pricey bracket. But if you look at some of the new off plan developments you can still find bargains, that will appreciate in value massively upon completion," said portal director Les Calvert.
"Kuala Lumpur growth is based on economic growth and the growth of businesses and employment within the city that creates rising demand for quality housing, and as such it is Kuala Lumpur residents that you are looking to for the resale when the property is completed or whenever you choose to sell," he added.
Les said that Sabah was a market predominantly relying on rising tourism, mainly regional tourism, but also tourism from out-with the region was growing massively up till mid-2008 and will again in 2011.
"This means you can pick up properties in Sabah with the likes of 7% rental yields guaranteed, and the potential for 10% annual appreciation," he said.
"Of course in Sabah you are looking to tourists and fellow investors for the resale of the property," he added.
