Malaysia has been named one of the top destinations for property investment in 2010, by overseas property experts.
According to the top 10 property investments for 2010 chart by sector specialist copywriters Write About Property, the stability and growth potential of Malaysia, combined with the benefits it has from being an ex-British colony make it a top hot-spot for 2010, said Liam Bailey, director of the firm.
"Firstly the stability: the government has always been conscientious and responsible, taking constant measure to avoid speculation and the formation of asset bubbles in the property market; taking steps like limiting foreigners to luxury properties so that locals would never be priced out of the market," he said, before listing the benefits of it being an ex British colony:

According to global financial institutions Malaysia's economy fell into recession between the third and fourth quarters of 2008 and started to rebound between the first and second quarters of 2009, making it one of the shortest recessions in the world.
Since it became clear that Asia is the main economic growth region of the world for the foreseeable future, many young professionals and entrepreneurs have begun to consider a move to the region. The benefits laid out above have obviously made Malaysia a favourite with this buyer group.
