buying property in malta could be easier with new flights
News Posted On: 01 April 2009
Overseas investors could find it easier to buy property in Malta with the introduction of more low-cost flights to the country.
According to James Gonzalez, market analyst at Obelisk Investment Property, the flights are boosting interest in the Mediterranean country.
He commented: "The low-cost airlines are the key for both tourism and the local property market, this range of new flights can only be good news for Malta."
Both Ryanair and Air Malta offer competitively priced trips to the country, which could encourage real estate buyers to acquire homes in Malta.
Easy access to the nation can make a purchase an easier prospect but could also boost the rental market in the country among holidaymakers looking for a low-cost credit crunch break within Europe.
This comes after the Global Property Guide reported that there has been severe drop in the price of property in Malta.
In the last three months of 2008, prices fell by nine per cent on the island.
