The real estate market in Mexico has "a bright future" in 2009, experts have suggested.
According to property firm Insight Advisors, now could be a good time to acquire home in the North American country.
It noted that real estate in Mexico has seen steady appreciation in the past half a decade, with homes, condominiums, new properties and resales all contributing to this.
Insight Advisors commented: "Mexican real estate market seems to be a promising and steady destination for investors throughout the coming years."
The firm noted that investors from Canada and Europe are "flocking" to the country, which is offsetting any decline in investment from the US.
Destinations such as Cancun, Playa del Carmen and Puerto Vallarta were all identified as popular choices among real estate buyers.
LaSalle Investment Management recently announced that it has raised $400 million to invest "opportunistically" in the real estate market in Mexico, reports Financial Standard.
