Health Care
Though the doctors are well qualified but medical facilities and availability of qualified doctors can be a hassle. Often, medicines and other medical supplies are scantily available. The hospitals also demand payment in hard currency. Prescribed medicines have to be necessarily paid for. Health insurance with emergency repatriation is highly recommended. The visitors may be asked to pay first and seek reimbursement later. Pharmacy timings are Mon-Fri 0800-2000 and Sat 0800-1500.
The authorities in Montenegro strongly advise full travel insurance for all travellers to the country.
