montenegro property recommended by property abroad portal
News Posted On: 23 April 2009
Following a period of research overseas property portal Property Abroad has named Montenegro as one of the few markets favourable for property investment in 2009. Les Calvert, director of the portal said:
"Montenegro property prices grew strongly throughout 2008, and every indication is that they will hold if not continue growing in 2009. We recommend Montenegro as not only an investment that can make substantial capital gains in the mid-long term, but property price growth is fuelled by rapidly rising tourism, which continues to grow, so carefully chosen Montenegro properties are capable of earning substantial rental incomes. Off-plan Montenegro properties, if especially carefully chosen can make substantial immediate gains."
Montenegro is one of the few countries that saw continued and strong economic growth throughout 2008. The Montenegrin government is one of the best in Europe, and it continues to strive toward full accession of the EU this year.
In September last year the European Investment Bank issued a 30million Euro loan to a Montenegro bank to finance projects implemented by Small and Medium size Enterprises, in other words to make sure finance was available for productive investments. It gave this loan because of 'Montenegro's impressive economic growth'.
Montenegro's impressive economic performance has been mirrored by impressive growth in property values throughout 2008, and Montenegro resilience to the credit-crunch continues in 2009, as has rising tourism. All indications are that Montenegro is as good as anywhere for a property investment in 2009. And if EU accession goes ahead as planned it will become very lucrative indeed.
Property Abroad have some excellent properties in Montenegro. Aquavista Bay is an off-plan resort style apartment development, in one of the most beautiful places in Montenegro; the Bay of Kotorska on the Herceg Novi Riviera. The Bay of Kotorska officially joined the Association of 28 most beautiful bays in the world in 1997 and is five minutes drive to the historic town of Herceg Novi. It is places like this that have seen Montenegro's tourism grow faster than any other European country.
The development of 223 luxury apartments enjoys excellent views over the azure blue waters of the bay below. Facilities and features on the Aquavista resort include: Landscaped gardens with native trees and plants, indoor and outdoor swimming pools (heated throughout winter), a gymnasium, a shop and a restaurant, marina access at Kumbor and a direct walkway to the beach.
