Moroccan Airports

Morocco is served by several international airports including Marrakech Menara, Casablanca Mohammed V, Rabat-Sale and Tangier. Agadir Al Massira is the only airport with commercial flights to serve the city of Agadir. There is a tourist helpdesk where French and English are spoken. There is a local bus service into the city, running from 6AM to 8PM and taxis are also available. The journey into central Agadir is about 20 minutes and there is a fixed fare of Dh200. ATMs and a Bureau de Change are available in the terminal, which also offers payphones, Wi-Fi and bars and a cafeteria selling light meals and snacks. The airport is fully accessible for wheelchair users.

Marrakech Menara Airport has a tourist information centre, and is located 4 miles from the city centre. A public bus runs every 20-30 minutes from a stop half a mile from the airport. A taxi rank is also available, and the journey should be about 20 minutes. Both the airport’s terminals have currency exchange offices, an ATM is available in the arrival hall in Terminal 2 and Wi-Fi is provided. The airport has a restaurant and café as well as several snack bars, and there is a prayer room. Disabled facilities are basic, however.

Casablanca Mohammed V International is Morocco’s busiest airport, and a hub for North African air transport. There are information desks at both Arrivals and Departures, and tourist information is also available. A shuttle train service links the airport with Casablanca port and the city centre. There’s a regular shuttle bus to Casablanca’s CTM station and taxis are available outside Arrivals 24 hours a day. There are banking facilities available in the airport, a shopping centre is integral to the airport and there are first aid services, a pharmacy and a prayer room; disabled lifts and wheelchair transportation between the plane and the terminal building make the airport relatively wheelchair-friendly, but passengers requiring these services should contact the airport prior to travel.
