Property investors considering a purchase in north Africa might find Morocco offers good value for money.
According to Property Wire, the country's economy is "weathering the economic downturn" better than many other, more established nations.
The online portal explained that Morocco's proximity to Europe was one of the major advantages of purchasing overseas property in the country.
Some of the seaside resorts are proving to be particularly popular, especially those that have marinas.
The consistently warm climate is making Morocco an attractive destination for leisure travellers looking for a short break.
A poster on the propertycommunity.com forum described Marrakech as " a real economic powerhouse and rent yields can be good".
Tangiers was also identified as an excellent place in which to invest in a property.
Last month, officials in Morocco announced that their country has escaped the global real estate crisis, reports Magharebia.com.
Ahmed Taoufik Hijira, minister for housing, urban planning and land management, said that there is still a high demand for real estate in the country.
