Prospective buyers of property abroad in New Zealand could find that the country has a lot to offer, experts have claimed.
According to Shelter Offshore, Christchurch and the surrounding district of Canterbury have much to offer visitor or potential settlers.
The Banks Peninsula is close by and there are plenty of wineries to the east, while the west offers opportunities for winter sports fans.
As well as a number of lifestyle attractions, buying property in New Zealand could prove a popular way to invest money because the process is relatively simple.
Those who have residential status have no restrictions on what they buy.
People who have not been granted residency might find there are some restrictions on where they can purchase, although they are unlikely to find there is a problem in urban areas.
A number of migrants have left the UK to settle in New Zealand to escape the effects of climate change, according to the Times.
