The cost of buying property in France has fallen in the last few months, according to an expert in the sector.
Karen Tait, editor of French Property News, said there are some real bargains for holiday home hunters who want a house in France.
She noted that sterling is starting to rally against the euro and this will lead to even better value purchases for buyers of property on the Cote d'Azur and throughout the country.
"Many French properties have come down in price significantly over recent months, more than outweighing any exchange rate difficulties," Ms Tait commented.
The expert noted that there are low rates available for French mortgages and said many investors are becoming more "clued up" about getting the best currency deals.
This comes after Rupert Scott, who owns a property in France, said there was better value for money available across the Channel.
He added that those who purchase a home in the country could find that tax is cheaper than in the UK.
