Investors considering buying property abroad should take advantage of the problems in the Spanish property market to purchase their holiday homes now, an expert has claimed.
According to developer Taylor Woodrow de Espana, confidence in the sector has been low for a number of months now.
It noted that a property purchase abroad could be the largest investment many prospective buyers will make in the course of their lives.
However, Victor Sague, marketing director for the firm, told the Financial Times: "Now we are seeing a number of people returning to the market, anxious not to miss out on some of the excellent deals that are currently available."
Those who want to find bargains could find that searching for homes in Spanish property auctions provides them with the opportunity to pick up homes in the country at an even lower cost.
Shelter Offshore recently said it is very possible to find an affordable place to live in Spain.
