Overseas property investors have been advised to consider aquiring a home in Panama. According to Shelter Offshore, the country has a strong tourist trade, due to the wide variety of attractions for leisure travellers, including a wealth of flora and fauna, areas of historical interest and beautiful coves and beaches.
This could provide a strong rental market for those looking to lease out their homes abroad.
As well as numerous opportunities to relax and soak up the local culture, holidaymakers and those with property in the country can benefit from the relatively low cost of living in the North American nation.
The online property portal added that Panama has seen a 12 per cent increase in visitor numbers since 2004 and that new airline routes are being opened up.
Panama received a publicity boost recently through the release of the latest James Bond film Quantum of Solace, much of which was set in the country.
