buyers could get more for their money in poland
News Posted On: 10 November 2008
Investors looking to purchase a home in mainland Europe could benefit from weak currency rates in countries such as Poland, it has been suggested.
According to the Independent, property buyers may be able to get more for their money in the eastern European country, as its currency has depreciated in recent months as a result of the credit crunch.
While the pound may be struggling against the euro, countries yet to become part of the eurozone could still offer purchasers strong investment opportunities and good value for money.
James Daley, writer for the newspaper, noted that the pound has decreased in value but this could offer buyers a ray of hope, asserting that there are still bargains to be found.
Other countries he identified as offering buyers lucrative opportunities were Hungary, Australia and Brazil.
The New York Times recently reported that the Polish economy is beginning to feel the effects of the credit crunch, citing a recent headline in one of the country's daily newspapers which read "Welcome to the Tough Times".
