poland tipped as top tourist destination

Polish officials have welcomed a recent report that identified the central European country as a top tourism hotspot for 2009.
The Association of British Travel Agents highlighted Poland as a good option for leisure travellers who have been priced out of eurozone countries due to the weakening of the pound against the euro.
The Polish National Tourist Office (PNTO) asserted that the country offers attractions such as great value for money.
Ewa Binking, director of the PNTO, said that the body was "delighted" that Poland made been singled out as a top holiday location.
"It shows that we are a great country to visit with lots of world-class attractions on offer," she remarked.
The news might be welcomed by overseas property investors who own or are considering purchasing real estate in Poland as there could be a steady demand for rental accommodation due to a strong tourist trade.
According to Building.co.uk, Poland has enjoyed a construction boom over the past three years and is likely to enjoy a six per cent growth in 2009.
