Porto Francisco Sa Carneiro International Airport is located a short distance from the city of Porto, accessible by car via the Via Rapide IC1 motorway out of Porto. The airport is also served by the Metro Violet Line rail link, which operates regular services from 6AM to 1:30AM. The station is located just outside the terminal and the fare for the 30 minute journey to the city centre is €1.40. There are also regular bus connections to the city centre, a single fare for the 45 minute journey costing €1.50. Taxis are available outside the airport terminal; there is a 20% surcharge on taxi fares at weekends, on public holidays and between 9PM and 6AM.

There is a bank at the terminal, as well as several ATMs and Bureaux de Change. Internet access points and a post office are available, and there is a lost and found information desk. Porto Francisco Sa Carneiro Airport has several shops, including a wine merchant, fashion and electronics outlets, gift and bookshops and a duty free outlet.

The airport has lifts and adapted toilets for disabled passengers, though passengers requiring a wheelchair are advised to contact their airline to inform them of their needs prior to booking. There is a pharmacy, a travel agency and several car rental companies operate out of the terminal.

Lisbon Portella Airport serves the city of Lisbon, on the A1 Oporto/Lisbon motorway. It can also be accessed by the Carris Aerobus 91, running a 20 minute journey into the city centre for a €3.50 fare, as well as by taxi. There are numerous shops including a duty free outlet, paid for Wi-Fi is available throughout the terminal and there is a post office in the departures lounge. The departures area offers a wide range of eateries including a pizzeria and a sushi restaurant, and there are ramps, lifts and adapted toilets and phones for disabled passengers. There are several car hire agencies in the terminal, and there is a baby care area, a first aid room, and showers in the departures boarding lounge.
