Climate

The northwest of Portugal enjoys fairly short summers and mild winters with high levels of rainfall, while northeast has relatively longer winters and hot summers. In the south of the country, summers extend from March to October and are quite warm with scanty rainfall, but early spring and autumn do witness some good rainfall. During July-August, Estoril witnesses some high temperatures punctuated by a permanent breeze.

Required Clothing

Travellers should wear light- to medium-weight clothes throughout the year along with carrying the rainwear.
