reasons to buy property in cascais
News Posted On: 09 July 2009
Those who want to buy property in Portugal but are not keen on a home in the capital, Cascais could be the perfect choice.
Situated just 30 km from the bustle of Lisbon, the town is nestled on the west coast of Portugal and features beautiful beaches and a wealth of cultural interest.
From a property in Cascais, holidaymakers or those looking to live in Portugal have easy access to the attractions of Lisbon and the Algarve.
However, Cascais itself offers abundant activities for those who prefer not to travel, such as museums, the golden beaches and verdant Gandarinha Park.
The Museu Condes Castro Guimaraes is set in peaceful gardens and houses Indo-Portuguese porcelain and scenes of the town painted by both local and foreign artists.
It also has a mini zoo, so those with children will be able to enjoy a cultural day out with the whole family.
Far removed from the crowded beaches of many Mediterranean resorts, the town features plenty of green areas, including the Parque do Marechal Carmona.
With property abroad in Cascais, people will also be able to enjoy a quiet afternoon at one of the numerous small beaches along the coast.
Indeed, their close proximity to the town means that visitors will be able to swim in the sea then have a meal or go shopping.
