Experts have predicted that the economy in Romania will grow in the next 12 months.
According to Financiarul, the country's gross domestic product (GDP) could go up by approximately four per cent next year with some optimistically hoping for up to six per cent.
It reported that a group of experts and analysts met with the Romanian prime minister Calin Popescu Tariceanu to discuss how the ongoing financial crisis could affect the country in the short term.
While there was no agreement on the level of growth it was generally accepted that the eastern European nation would expand in the next year.
The prime minister commented: "The average between optimists and pessimists would be five per cent, which, in the context of a world economic crisis, is a very good performance."
This could be welcome news for those looking to purchase a property overseas as there could well be a growing resale market in Romania as the country prospers.
