caribbean destinations offer good bargains

Overseas property investors might be able to purchase bargain homes in Caribbean countries such as St Lucia, it has been claimed.
Lucy Russell, managing director of Quintessentially Estates, said the area has a number of opportunities available for investors who do their research, reports Property Wire.
"We have seen houses in the Caribbean drop by half a million dollars, giving the buyer a good rate of return," she added.
Ms Russell was one of a number of real estate experts who said the market was becoming more attractive to second-home buyers looking for a property in a sunny destination.
The low cost of homes in desirable places, such as the Caribbean, is encouraging investors back to the market.
This comes after investment specialist Cluttons claimed property on the island of Barbados is no longer owned exclusively by the rich and famous and that homes can be acquired for anything between $400,000 (£280,000) and $40 million.
