Travel Advice
From time to time, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in the UK issues Travel Advisories for visits to the Slovak Republic. Accordingly, most visits to the Slovak Republic are trouble-free but the global threat from international terrorism can never be ruled out. Therefore, the travellers should take adequate precautions while visiting the places of touristsā interest in the Slovak Republic.

Passports are required by the nationals of all countries except the EU nationals holding a valid national ID card and. Such EU nationals are only required to produce evidence of their EU nationality and identity in order to be admitted to any EU Member State, including the Slovak Republic. Identity can be proved either by a valid a national passport or any valid national identity card.
Passport is valid for at least three months beyond the required length of stay.
Non-EU nationals should have the equivalent funds of US$50 per person per day for their stay in the Slovak Republic. The Customs people may check for this requirement on arrival.
Visas are not required for the nationals of the abovementioned countries for stay up to 90 days for tourist or transit purposes only (except full British passport holders, who also do not need visas for business purposes for an indefinite period).
Note 1: For EU nationals, visas are not required at all.
